There are a large number of operating systems on the market, ranging from UNIX to Unix-like to the consumer’s behemoth Windows. PHP has a simple way of negating the issue of installing it on one, or the other, or all of them.

Since the PHP program past version three PHP hosting  has been possible on all three operating systems without major conflicts being caused. This is due to the scripting including phrasing to maintain it as a constant regardless of its operating platform. This constant, PHP_EOL, allows the notion of cross system design, taking a fledgling chain of code and a basic website framework from one operating system and onto another without it causing issues within the PHP programming.

This is also a necessity because PHP coding is visible to the consumer as well as the host. With a considerably large portion of the internet web pages being displayed through PHP to the customer, it is important that by changing from a UNIX operating system like Mac OS X to a Windows operating system, the PHP experiences no problems.
